Call Open for Schools in Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Mauritania!

Call closed on the 25th of September!

EU WeMED_NaTOUR is selecting four schools to participate in the eco-smart school trips, fully funded by the project.

The Consortium Partners are committed to creating a blueprint for scaling eco-smart school trip opportunities, ensuring that the experiences gained from the pilot project can benefit a broader audience of students in the future.

Who are we looking for?

  • High schools in Italy and Spain: the project welcomes the participation of high schools in Italy and Spain. Students aged 14-16 years will have the opportunity to embark on a 3-day trip from the Balearic Islands (Spain) to Grado Island in Italy, and from Italy to the Balearic Islands (Spain), experiencing an all-inclusive itinerary that includes excursions, visits to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and on-the-field workshops.

  • Middle or primary schools in Portugal and Mauritania: the project invites middle or primary schools in Portugal and Mauritania to participate. In particular, we are looking for schools with students aged 6-10 years from Mauritania,  and schools with students aged 11-13 from Portugal. They will have the chance to engage in a 2-day trip to a local coastal or maritime destination and its surroundings. The all-inclusive itinerary will encompass excursions, visits to SMEs, and on-the-field workshops.

Who can apply for it?

  • Private schools: Private educational institutions, duly established and recognized by national law, are eligible to apply for participation in the project. Private schools are defined as independent educational institutions that are privately owned and operated, often funded by tuition fees and donations. For more information of the eligibility, please check the guideline.

  • Public schools: Public educational institutions, operated and funded by government authorities, are also encouraged to apply for participation in the WeMED Na_TOUR project.
