About the Consortium Partners
The EU WeMED_NaTOUR is designed and conducted by 7 cross-continental organisations specialised in different fields. Ranging from national tourism boards to specialists in sustainability; from researchers to hubs in the nautical sector. Together, the specialists gathered and aimed at focusing on West Mediterranean natural marine sites and maritime/coastal destinations to develop transnational eco-smart tourism packages that are sustainable and responsible following a blue economy strategy.
The Consortium Partners are based in 5 countries- Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Mauritania.
X23 The Innovation Bakery
Project Coordinator- Italy
Committed to innovation, research, growth and scale-up, X23 is an independent multidisciplinary, self-sustaining research center founded in 1999, with a long and successful track-record in managing EU co-funded projects (COSME, H2020, Creative Europe, MEDIA, etc.). X23 is catalysing multidisciplinary pioneering projects, applying its own methodology, and committing a blend of specialised skills in R&D, growth and scale-up process to make them unfold into the real world
Italian National Tourism Board (ENIT)
Project Manager and Communication Manager- Italy
ENIT will play the role of project manager and communication manager. Founded in 1919, ENIT is a public economic entity, carries out its functions and activities through its central office in Rome and other 28 offices worldwide. ENIT works for Italy to promote Italy all over the world with corporate strategies developed by the headquarter in Rome and implemented through the 28 offices.
Asociaciòn Cluster Nàutico de las Islas Baleares (BMC)
Contributor- Spain
Asociaciòn Cluster Nàutico de las Islas Baleares will play the role of contributor of the project. BMC is a business initiative created to position the Balearic islands as one of the hubs of the nautical sector at an international level and to strengthen its competitive position through public-private collaboration.
WP2 Leader- Portugal
TdP is the National Tourism Authority and the mission is to enhance and promote Portugal as a tourist destination and achieving sustainability of tourism activities. TdP units all the institutional powers relating to the development of tourism in one single body, in all areas ranging from supply to demand, including a network of 12 tourism schools certified by UNWTO.
WP3 Leader- Spain
TWP is a consultancy company helping tourism and hospitality businesses to reduce unnecessary waste. The TWP team has an expertise in creating strategies and practical implementation plans for waste reduction across a variety of tourism sectors, including accommodation, hospitality businesses, excursion and transport providers.
Office National de Tourisme (ONT) Mauritanie (ONTM)
WP4 Leader- Mauritania
ONdTM is a public administrative establishment responsible for promoting tourism in Mauritania. ONdTM has 18 years of experience in the field of tourism and is responsible by the Mauritanian State to promote all tourism products. The ONT is also responsible for managing all tourism projects that have a link with the Mauritanian State.
